Community Club

After the closure of the local pub, a group of locals came up with the idea of opening a Community Club for the village.  After several meetings and discussions with the Parish Hall, it was decided that the hall would borrow the funds to extend the hall to create the club.  Opening to its first members in September 2017 the club was an instant success.

From those humble beginnings the Club has gone from strength to strength.

Open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays the club is “one of the best stocked small bars” in North Devon.  Serving local Exmoor Ale and Cider from just down the road in Crediton, as well as the usual drinks you would find in any pub.  The club also serves as the bar for Parish Hall functions including christenings, weddings etc.

A real community hub and still only £10 a year to join, it really is a local success and thanks to the hard working committee and staff we are always planning what we can do next with many ideas still in the pipeline.  Being not for profit means we can donate to many local good causes & recently we have funded the landing light for the North Devon Air ambulance in the village, among many others.

If you wish to join, or help behind the bar, just pop into the club when we are open, for a membership form or email us on

We do however, close if there are no members in by 9pm at the weekend.
